I guess Wood is a little more injured than they let on...This would be funny if it wasn't so serious. Money quote:

Wood's scheduled start today was scrapped quickly after an MRI taken Wednesday night showed that the Cubs' initial claim that he would remain on schedule was far-fetched. It's significant that Dempster will be starting today in Wood's place with Rusch following him to the mound.

This is not good, at all. As I said previously (see below, I need to figure out how to link to my own comments):

The Cubs only chance of winning this year is 55 starts plus from Wood and Prior. If we don't get that, we don't make the playoffs, period.
